What Controls You?

As I was driving back from Houston today, where I celebrated the New Year, God was speaking to me about Fear. God said that His people are allowing Fear to stop the Promises and Favor that He is sending down from Heaven. Doors were opening, but the person, with the Rights to that door, refused to walk through. The person was talking in their mind about all of these possible scenarios and doubts swirling around about if this was really what God had for them. Questions shouted even louder that they had better play it safe. While long ago memories of missteps were telling them to stay comfortable and to not rock the boat in wanting too much.

God said that He wanted each one to make a list of all that they felt in their spirit were Doors that God was opening for 2017. God will speak loudly and in that still small Voice, but He will speak to what He is lining you up for. Now, make a list of every fear you have about this year. The Fear does not have to be directly about the Doors either. When a mind is cluttered with Fear about anything and everything, you will find it nearly impossible to follow God’s lead.

Now after each fear, challenge that Fear with what God would say about it. You will never break free of something that you refuse to challenge and question its authority over your life.

Now take that list before God in your prayer time for the next month.

Just sit back and watch what God does with your petitions and obstacles. Watch as you do not even need to push, pull, or strive for that fear to leave and for the angels to escort you through that door. You are handing God the fears and the outcome. You are allowing Him to take over full control.

God is all about the Miraculous.

Miraculous~ occurring through divine or supernatural intervention, or manifesting such power.

You were born to walk in this. You were created and equipped to succeed in all that is behind those doors! Stepping out on the water is easy, when you fully know and believe your Lord is with you always! There is peace even in the Lion’s Den!

It is a New Year and God is excited about all that will transpire in His Kingdom. You are a Royal Citizen with full rights in the Inheritance. God is always for You!

2 Timothy 1:7

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

Psalm 34

1 I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad.

3 Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together!

4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.

5 Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

9 Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!

10 The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

11 Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12 What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good?

13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.

14 Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.

16 The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

17 When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.

18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

20 He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.

21 Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.

22 The LORD redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
